Haunted Hotties
Haunted Hotties is a comedic, horror-themed dating sim with a focus on queer characters and authentic queer experiences. This is my own work in collaboration with Elizabeth Cool Leitzell.
Haunted Hotties is a horror-themed queer dating sim about a group of people tricked by a devious vampire into competing for his hand in marriage. The main character, Aster, and eight love interests are lured into the woods under the guise of going to a haunted trail Halloween event and must fight through Halloween attractions come to life and avoid being forcefully married to a vampire. Aster can choose a love interest to accompany through the woods and make choices on their route to hopefully find love…or end up in the friend zone. The player’s choices throughout the game are partially what you’d expect from a dating sim, but others involve choosing how to save your love interest from harm and look good doing it. The game’s tone is lighthearted with darker humor, and the story is an authentic representation of queer people and their experiences.

The game will be a choice-based visual novel. This is an example of what it will look like during a dialogue section between areas in the forest.
Map
This is the finished map with roughly half of the location icons that will be in the final game. The locations are all Halloween attractions that were taken over by real monsters.
